Well, got the '70 Fury home today after some minor delays with Canada Customs, (just clear the thing for christsake!). One thing strikes me as odd. It would appear the rear end is an 8.25 which would mean some gearhead ripped the 8.75 that probably originally resided there and swapped it for a mid 70's C rear. Sound comprende senor?


Soooo.....anyone got a big 'C' 8.75 or 9.25 they'd like to part with? Maybe a rusted out parts car with a 400/727?

That's probably the original rearend, especially if the car came with a 318. My '70 4 door sport fury with a 318 has an 8 1/4, and I've seen at least two 8 1/4's in '72 newports with 400's in them.
