I like the idea - brighter, faster, less juice..

but I'm not keen on the look.

(see attachment)

Anyone got other ideas?

I was thinking if there was a way to "disperse" the light from a plug-in LED type bulb to give it a better glow rather than a hot spot, that would be ideal.

This is exactly the type of upgrades I want to do to my Charger when I put it back together - make it work better but not chage the overall look....

did i miss something?...what about makeing your own LED bulbs from scratch since you can get them by the 1000's for cheeper than 3 premade bulbs

im planing to toy with LED's on the 58 ford

How hard would it be to design a replacement for the screw in inserts in the back of dash to accept one? I know on a puter they have to be plugged in correctly or they dont work so it should be simple hopefully.

Easy - 12 beer, three joints and a punch in each eye. Diffuses the light just the way you want it.

Looks like Erihnberg Erehnberg? E-Booger. is on vacation. I swear sometimes it seems like he's the only guy that works at that place!

The snotz one is great. I love the bizarre sense of humor and dripping sarcasm. Gromer is a fetchit, no more.

According to the article, once you add in the circuit board, control chips, and resistors, it doesn't work out so cheap...
unless you buy them ALL by the thousands - then they work out cheap enough per unit...

I learned that lesson when I was in college working for the central supply for the electronics faculty. I also ran things for the local IEEE chapter. I started out placing separate orders for each entity but for the same stuff. I saw different prices each time because of the quantities. I changed my ordering process and ended up getting the stuff for our IEEE group for next to nothing. We resold that stuff in kits for student projects. We advertised "last year's price!!" and made more money than any other executive group ever.. of course that funded a huge party for the student membership and a new computer for the club room.
