Yah! We love pictures. Lots of good people willing to help here. Welcome to the nuthouse!

thanks guys. i´m from sweden and my english is not perfekt. but i have an 66 dart gt with 318 engine. i have restored the engine but 5 lifters have collapsed after breaking in. engine parts is eddy performer, eddy 600, 302 heads ported, original pistins, new rings, new sealed power 340 camshaft, new lifter and pushrods. original rockerarms and new bearings stock exhaust manifolds but homemade dual 2,5 inch exhaust system. cam is in great condition. and i wonder what happened with my lifters.

It may just be that you got some low grade lifters. Many times you only get what you pay for. It pays to spend a little more for good quality parts.

Ten again, the lifters may not have collapsed. You may have destroyed the camshaft. Correct break-in oil and procedure is extremely important.

thanks it is almost free from rust it was comp cams lifters. it is hard to get good cams and lifters to mopar sb in sweden. i just bought new lifter kit and will try to assembly them tomorrow. i runned engine 30 minits with breakin oil at 2500 rpm but that lifter never worked from beginning. i have looked at the cam and that looks nice. but i maybe will buy another camshaft the only ones i found here in sweden is hughes purple or compcam 270h or sealed powers 38 cam or 340 cam.

problem solved comp cams lifters was to high. new sealed power camshaft istalled with theirs lifters. no problemos now.

So.. This means you won't be sticking around? They tell me that they bring out the pretty women after you make 1000 posts.. I'm almost halfway there! I can't wait!

By the way.. I think your Dart is awesome as well.. From what I know of Sweden, if an old car needs paint, you guys paint them black.. Right? It's cheaper to spray, and easier to fix when you patch rust.. Semi gloss black looks great on your Dart.. Good luck with it

Very nice Dart you have there.....glad you found the problem with the cam and lifters, and it's now running smooth! Hope you stick around and work on your English...not that it is all that bad really. ;)
