This is the time of Sukkot or tabernacles, I observed it today. It lasts a week. See Leviticus 23:34

We don't know but the only time to have a cencus would be Sukkot when you return home for a week.
So good news if this is Thanksgiving and Christmas then just celebrate as you see fit and no stressful shopping days.
