Well, I owed Stretch some coin and we'd decided to go in halves on that beast since I have to make all-custom lines for the LeBaron and he's got to do the brake and fuel lines on his brother's Jeep. So, $60 is just the difference between his half of the price and what I'd owed him. If you can find one for $60, grab it up... I bought it at cost and it was a hell of a lot more money than that!

I believe Snap-On sells the identical unit for around $500.00. We paid less. :D

Having said that, once you've used it you won't ever want to be without it... hence the reason we bought it. :D

Yeah... here in the land of salt a customer saying "My car won't run... I can hear the pump prime, though" is followed by, "Can you smell fuel?" Usually the answer is to the positive, and you know the fuel lines have actually rotted off the top of the pump/sender assembly.

Putting new brake lines in GMs can be very profitable up this way.

Man, I'd gladly get you one at my cost... 'cept I already bought one that way. The company gets suspicious when you buy the same tool twice. When I give my notice--and that ain't far off--you'll be the first one to know. :D

got a part number? manufacturer? cant find my magnifying glass. I won't get employee discount but I can come close. :-

The tool is made by Master-cool.

Once you use it you will never want to touch your traditional flaring tool.
This tool by doorman is a must too.

Mastercool part number is 71475.

Stretch, I thought you wanted the whole Dorman kit that comes with repair lines and fittings, too. That part number is 800-300.

The price difference between the two is over $100.

The hydraulic flaring tool is sitting on my dining-room table, and every time I walk past it, I think calmly to myself,

"DAMNITIWANNAFLARESOMETHING!!"
