Hey, I was told tha ti have to come here, and since dodgechargerfan has been kind enough to let me use his server space, I though i would poke around and make some productive comments on here.

For those that dont know (Im guessing most people) I have a 73 dodge charger with a broken 318 in it.

If you are wondering why I am using his server space, check it out. http://moparnuts.com/alfanta
I am always adding new stuff to it, ad if anyone has a specific request, Just shoot me an E-mail.

What a coincidence...Saturday I go pick up a car I bought...a '73 charger with a broken 318!

Small world, I had a 73 charger and broke the 318. had another and the 340 was AWOL.

Welcome, you do nice work!

Thanks

Hopefully tomorrow I will be digging into the 318 after class. i wanted to go to the moparnats, but My friend decided to go to hot import nights in chicago instead. so yeah....

we will see what is wrong with it. I took off the intake and found a nut and broken off threads sitting inside the engine with a ton of metal shavings so im not too thrilled about it.

yeah, i have a lead on a dodge truck with a 360 motor and a 318 whole motor/transmission with it for $600. im hopeing i can get the motor running enough for it to limp along until I can afford that.

The guy that does towing for a Junk yard owes me a HUGE favor and he is keeping his eye out for a new hemi for me. When it comes in I will get the engine, tranny, complete wiring harness, computer, and anything else I want from it for practically free. And pending the insurance company I may have one out of a dodge Ram with only 18k miles on it. it got rear ended and the axle snapped or something like that. Ill keep everyone posted

hmm with the name i was thinking you might be an alfa owner to chew me out...welcome tothe nut house

Hey, My very first mopar was a 73 Charger SE that came with a WAAAAY overcarburated (750DP) stock 318. Paid $600 for it and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't kill that damn thing. It never left me stranded anywhere either come to think of it.

Welcome BTW!

i had a 73 Charger with a broke 318 and a 74 with a 318 i broke.... and also a 73 Satellite with a 318 i broke.... and i broke the 318 in my brother's 73 chally....

:hmmm: I can't remember owning a '73 anything...................

...........and I'm not broke either.

73 too new for me.. define broke.

siezed up on a top speed run, had the needle bouncing then it smoothed out at peg. I'll blame the pinhole leak in the radiator. got my $75 out of that one :D

yeah well. I have to take the center link off to remove the oil pan. gonna do that tomorrow. gonna see what the problem is. I think its the oilpump, but I really have no idea I found a piece of threaded material that has a nut on the end of it that is badly warped. It looks like it was a 7/16 or 1/2 in nut, and it came out of the bottom. anyone have any idea what it could be?

Some of those look like Hot Wheels cars that I have laying around, is that where the bodies are coming from? If so have you checked into licensing issues of cutting up and reselling their cars?
