My flash player update thing just went off, when I fired up my puter but not logged in yet, maybe five minutes idling.
1. My'puter is shut off when I'm not using it.
2. I have a shortcut to enable/disable the 'net connection, if I'm not surfing, I'm not connected.
Checked my end, nope not connected.

How did it know there was an update available?

A. It connected itself, checked, then disconnected? Without my written expression of consent? Bastards.
B. Knew an update was available and set a bomb from a previous session to go off after X time-date?
C. It's a super super secret?

Depending on your settings, it likely downloaded it in the background during your last session.

I'm sure I've given flash some broad access. I don't like my puter greeting me with anything more than quiet.
