68R/T
I got drunk and swallowed my teeth, now
Anyone here that get the Hemmings Muscle Machines magazine may have read this article, if not, got to page 40 and read it NOW!!
Beeper, Barney and the Doc have seen this one in person, it's a true "one-of-none" factory prototype. It's owned by a local guy that is engaged to my niece.
What was "almost" the 71 AMX....
Here's a look at some of my handywork.....
I first met the owner, Mike, when I was finishing the resto on my R/T 'vert in 95. When he said he had a factory prototype AMX my thoughts were, "Yea, right, what kind of dufuss has she latched onto now?"
A few months later I got to see the car......in pieces.
He offered to store my R/T the following fall, so I said, "I'll make you a deal, you buy the parts and I'll do your motor"
It took another 5 years to finally finish it. (You think it's hard to find Mopar parts??) But since completion he has had it featured in 3 different mags so far
