thanks RANDY

I can't find that VT350# either, but the 1954 270 ci truck engine seems to be the closest match to that. They had the VT342 44 and 46 so I could see the 350 following that.
Still just a guess though.

i posted over at www.thehemi.com hoping they may have an idea.

the other option is it a poly with the hemi heads on it? just an idea because i do know the 354 poly is the same as the 354 hemi, except certain components.

The VT prefix was used for several different size applications of truck engines, both Hemi and poly.

The Hemi's were either 241 or 270
The poly's were 259 and 315

There is also rumor of a VT550 used in a 2-1/2 ton trucks, size unknown.

All I can tell by the pic is that it's of the 54 & later casting because it uses a standard bell. The earlier castings had an extended block that was a major part of the "flywheel" suround.

thanks all :bravo::bravo::bravo:

what parts from a 331 work on a 354 and 392 HEMI :huh:

There is "some" interchangability of parts between the 331 and 354, but from a standpoint of building a 354, 331 parts are not that desirable.

being an "industial" engine, it most likely has the adjustable rockers that weren't available until 54.

To a street-rodder, it worth some $$$, performance-wise....:dgt:
