Hiding In The Bushes While
I need one for primer and stuff like POR-15 or a similar product.

and one I suppose to spray.........well automotive paint. :D

I bought a BRAND new Iron Horse V-twin 6.5hp air compressor that has a 60 gallon tank and puts out 11.5 CFM at 90psi. :giggedy:

So I'm all set to make paint run all over the place! :giggedy :bwuhaha:

Some help on setting it up would be great also. :helpme:

i use the same gun for primer and paint. set it at 40 and go.i shoot 2-3 coats primer and mix paint at 1/2 gal -25-1 and the other 1/2 50/50. put hardener in all the way thru - mix hardener equal amounts in gun. wait 20 min. between sprays. when all done go for coffee for 1/2 hour and then pull paper off and leave window paper on till dry and then pull. then let it sit outside to air dry. make sure you have heat in garage and IF you use a wood stove make sure you started stove 2 hours before spray. and don,t load until next day when all is done.. SO stay away from wood.... i do cause that is how i was taught. don,t do it if you never done it before. people have been known to fly if not done rite and also contributes to a building permit..

Ok I do heat with a wood stove so keep the fire buring all day before and all night and then the next morning let the fire die out and then start spraying?

I know it's a BAD idea to have the fire burnin away when the shop is full 'O fumes. [smilie=f:

THE STOVE WILL BURN ON FUMES AND THAT IS OK. but IF YOU LITE THE STOVE AFTER YOU PAINT--BOOOOOOMMMMM. really recks the paint job hahha.. so start it up the nite before and warm the car and load the stove again in the morning and leave it go and 20 minutes before you spray open up the drafts on the stove and pipe so everything is running straight and the fumes will go in burn of and escape up the chimney.ans DO-NOT load stove again. you will have enough heat in there to tdo the job and dry . it will come out nice. i do it all the time. if you have a separate room for painting then put a filter in the door and use a furnace fan to push the heat thru. and then your stove is not near the spray. that works to. be careful. if you have never done this befre find someone in your area who has and ask them to show you how it is done. when i can afford it i am going to swtch to propane or gas - maybe oil. .. i have sprayed hiway, dumps trucks, tractors. cars and anything else that doesn,t move and they all looked good. yes hiway trucks.

if you wax a gun down with metal polish and then a good wax befor you ever use it you will be plesantly supprised how clean it will stay..as for por 15/eastwood products ...dont even set the gun down..clean it and you should get it clean...i prefer to use my old style gun for por 15/eastwood stuff but i will say this the 100-150 hvlp devblis 2 gun set that eastwood has is a killer deal and works great
