Ok, I was going to transfer my old antique tag but the purple doesn't look quite right. I wish PA would let you get vanity antique tags!:doubt:

Old one:

or the new design:

You mean the purple one? Yeah at least it doesn't resemble the new regular tags.

Old looks alot better then the newer one.

yea it would be nice if you could but a plate of the year of your car.

We can here in Michigan.

Sometimes if you can get someone at the tag office to help you (a 20 can work wonders) they can "find" some number/letter combo that makes sense. The new version with the right numbers/letters might be OK.

stay with the old style antique plate the new ones look stupid . i dont know who the nit wit at the penn dot was that picked that plate and said " wowwee this on looks swell " pa. should have a MUSCLE CAR era plate that holds the same rules as the antique plate except for the goof ball rule about driving after dark , ive heard a few stories of guys gettin ticketed by cops who arent having a good day when they know perfectly well that that pertains to the old 50s and older cars .

Wisconsin,
I'll have to look into the classic year tag but knowing PA, probably not![smilie=k:[/QUOTE]

PA. CLASSIC plate = INSPECTION evry year + another $ 85.00 or 90.00 for the plate .

or do you have to pay the $$ for registration when you sell you antique car and transfer the antique plate ?

Well I have to pay the $$ again even just to transfer my plate. I'll stick with the purple one I guess.:o

Well Michigan is getting that way to.

Use to get the antique plates for free and last till you sold car.

Then the started charging $15 for the plates and lasted again for ever not to bad.

Then they passed law that it would cost $30 for 10 years.

Now they charge either$30-35 for 5 years unless they changed it again??
