Headers going on the Fury

Took the Fury into the local Mufflerman today to get the headers put on. I was going to do it myself, but no time. If I want them on at all this summer I figured I would let them do it..........Stopped by after supper, buddy runs the shop and is giving his younger guys a chance to work on it. They didn't know they have to move the steering column to get the one side on and they are scratching theirs heads about the passenger side. I told them that if in doubt call the shop that did the motor work and he would tell them how. I knew about the steering column, but not sure about the passenger side what needs to be moved to get that one on.........The young guys say the newer cars are easier to work on.............don't think so.........

What make are your headers?? And what is the motor, 440, 383, 318 or poly 318???

Maybe stop over a Cbodydrydock.com and ask the guys there in the performance tech forum...sure someone would know there.

Headers are "Hookers" engine is 440. May have found my answer at TTI's website that is easy to understand. The "Boys" were trying to install them from the top down and they need to go in from the underside. I know Hookers are not TTI's, but the theory should be the same............

Thanks

Brought the Fury home today, sounds real nice. Got some great advise at the performance tech forum. Am waiting until Friday (my day off) to go over to London to pick up a starter wrap before giving it a test run. My luck....I would take it out and ruin the starter.

Thanks

Haven't got the bill from Mufflerman yet, headers were $575.00, misc parts from my hot rod shop $48.00 and need to pick up starter cover-$25.00ish. I will get the install bill on Friday........cringe.........
