To all us Canucks! We just finished our turkey dinner, which Mike pretty much completely prepared (he LOVES to cook, and complete turkey dinners are his thing). I do the gravy. We pigged out, and now I am cleaning up.......by then we should both have room for pumpkin pie and whipped cream! LOL... Hope everyone else is having as great a day, and I am thankful for all you 'Nuts........

THANKS!

Dude. Thanks.

WHAT? I'm a giving person.

We did the major dinner yesterday. Had most of my siblings over. WAY too much food. Loads of desserts. Pumpkin Bread Pudding flambed. Pumpkin pie, Cranberry Pecan Pie. Fresh whipped cream for it all. Magic Pie <-- this is pretty cool.

You mix everything in a blender - inlcuding the crush ingredients. Pour it in a pie pan and cook it. Everything separates as it cooks and you get a pie. Kind of a custard style pie. Yummy and interesting and the crust is really a crust at the bottom.

My brother made it as well as some Irish Soda bread with a Niagara twist. He added in some grape flour that my other brother invented. Damn tasty. Was really good with coffee this morning too.

My wife cooks the meal - the turkey is always perfect. I carve, though. Not even the chefs in the family are allowed carve the turkey in my house.

We did the dinner thing yesterday too.
The in-laws came in and grazed right along with us. My wife is a pretty good cook, and loves it when people show up to eat. That's one of the main reasons we get along so well. :)
Lots to be thankful for this year, so we said our prayers and gave our thanks before stuffing ourselves silly.

I think I replaced the missing 10 pounds. :shifty:

We had the family at our house this year, just the wife and I and 2 daughters, my mom and dad and my brother and his common law wife.

We had a nice feast. We split the food amungst us, parents brought the turkey, ham, stuffing adn gravy. We did mashed potatoes, veggies and fixin's. And my brother and his other half brought the deserts.

Was a very fine evening....and I pass on a Happy ThanksGiving to all my nutty Canook brothers and sisters.:bravo:

What part of Canuck land are you from? Lived in Kitchener Waterloo for 15 years

This Nut is from the Niagara Peninsula. We are roughly 1/2 drive from Niagara Falls. Been through K/W when we go to Moparfest every Aug. :bravo:

I'm in Niagara, too.

Lot's of Canookians are members here. A good handful from the mythical land of Narnia. Some call it Sarnia, but we know.. A few west coasters, too. One or two back East bys, by.
