Had a meeting bout the brakes today.......

RUSTY Cuda

In over my head!
too bad it was Murphy who showed up, was rolling along quite nicely, some cool canadian air, classic rock on the radio, afternoon off, so i got the 73 mostly seam sealed & moved back to the 74, put on the backing plates, rotors on bearings packed & slid the axle in . calipers were still dryin after dinner so i figgered I'd get one a the rear wheels complete...........
Pic break, backing plate with a nice yr 1 foam gasket!

after a little head scratchin I got everything on, (it even resembled my pics & the book) grabbed the last return spring &.............&..........& it wont hook in, the hole is not round, it looks to be shaped for some other kind of retainer, looked the shoes over again & could not see any way to change there placement so off it all came..........
Nother pic break, rotor on!

...and re-route the fuel line so it doesn't go under the suspension. [smilie=e:

hellofa place for that huh, well its still there for now, but I got the fronts finished, hooked up the lines in the rear, got fluid to all 4 points, & today i realized I did not put in the rear hose! [smilie=e: ,oh well no shoes yet & the full bleed wasn't done so if I don't forget again, nothing lost!
When I opened the master there was a sign(barely) that fluid was once there!
Fronts be done!

I will send you a metal canister filter for free to see you get rid of that glass one... those things are insanely dangerous, even without the routing of yours.

Nice work on the progress, though... glad to see you're getting closer to E-car nirvana.

I will get to it guys, don't worry, ran it outta gas yesterday anyway, good time to check out the fuel system before I drop a few gallons in, then power steering , then figger out what lights work & what dont, stil not sure which front end I'm gonna hang on it, the less "holy" hood for sure, fenders & header maybe, may paint em 73 color & just use em for now???
Gotta remove the valve covers & see whats rattling around in there, check oil flow & compression, then god only knows!
One section at a time! might be driveable by NEXT summer! [smilie=e: Rich.
