ok guys im in need of an electrical guru to "build" a electrical device for me..ill pay for the parts and a lil extra

what i need built is 2 LED devices that will cycle thru 20 led's in a "chaseing" fashion with a variable speed adjustment pot designed to take standard car voltage in

for those of you wondering its for the rear turn signals for the lloyd.....it will get 20 leds circling each tail light lens for a total of 80 led's 40 per side

if all else fails and falls thru ill go ultra old school and build a "nail board" with a small electric motor with a arm that contacts the nails and triggers the led's and run the motor thru a limiter for a speed control.....i dont want to go this route but......

i need it done befor the end of july cause i want it operational for the car show

none of those will work for obvious reasons....the devices i need made are fairly simple and very cheep to make i just need someone who understands the electrical workings of useing a sequencer chip and a potmeter

i have a ruff knowladge of electrical curicit board stuff but this is just beyond my grasp

Can just copy the rear turn signal system from a late 60's Cougar?

I think they put a capacitor between each bulb. The current would have to light bulb, charge cap, light next bulb, charge next cap, etc. The delay to light up the next LED would be regulated by the size of the capacitor.

Sounds simple enough anyway...

the couger and tbird cycling lights was a electric motor and a nail board i was told

your telling me we have no electrical guys here?

only reason I suggested it is what you want with 20 leds is a big circuit.

do you want all 20 leds to turn on then off after each other?

most chips will only give you 10 outputs.

I did this years ago for my GL1100 Goldwing- took me about a month to design and make up and I still didn't get what I wanted- it's not that easy.:gaga:

as for the Seqenntal lights out of the Ford or C body- they used a 3 cam motor switch, 2 multi poled relays to make work- just ask me as I have done this to the 67 Charger and the Deputy.:toot:

if i can only get 10 out of a chip then so be it ill go with 10 and just have 2 led's lit at a time wich will still give me 20 led's....
