Got me another new toy on Wednesday night. I traded an '82 Ramcharger for it. Its an '81 D-250 Club Cab longbed. This sucker is a 1 ton in disquise. Has the big ass studs for the wheels on it, a D-60HD with 4.10s, a 360-4v without a converter, big ass 3 row radiator with factory trans cooler, 4,000 lb front axle capacity (2wd) and 6200 lb rear capacity.
Truck is in decent shape actually. Has one fender thats smurfed up front but the grille and everything are in great shape. Interior-wise its not bad either. Headliner is great, carpet pretty good. Only thing is a tear in the drivers side of the seat back and bottom. Typical.
The motor is what the problem is. Its got a spun bearing and my buddy said it squealed real loud even without belts and splash shield. But I've got another 360 to go in it.
Going to pretty much put this sucker together as a tow rig. Should be about perfect for what I want, even kind of overkill but I dont really care. Camera is busted again so no pics yet, coming soon!
