What a ton o' fun!

I bought it second hand a few months ago.

Now that my compressor is finaly hooked up I was looking around for something to hook up to it.

I had to make a worktop for it to sit on. Slapped some plywood onto an old microwave stand.

Changed the quick disconnect fitting to the right size.

poured in some sand that I got from Norton. free samples that they got and didn't want. My brother in law works there on a semi-retired basis.

Blasted away. Fun Fun Fun.

I ended up pulling out the grate so I could move the pickup tube back into place, but other than that, it works great.

You know you're not supposed to use sand in those don't you? They make a lot of dust, and you will be breathing that sand. :(

I use aluminum oxide and glass beads in mine.

AH well, I call it sand - it's abrasive media from a well known abrasives company.

Could be ground up kittens for all I know.

It's a covered unit and it's sealed pretty good..
The only time I see anything flying around is when I pop the top.

I have a pretty high end mask I could wear.

Now that's a thought, I've got a couple hundred pounds of that just laying around here taking up space ...

I just mentioned the sand because mine has a big nasty sticker on it saying do not use sand or you will die a thousand horrible deaths. Or something like that.

WHAT!!!! no pic's?!?!?!?

not yet..

I'll take some after pics of what I've done so far..
horn brackets, pulley, disti hold down.
They're all primed up already...

I'll take some before and after form now on.

I went looking for the lens protector sheets locally and had no luck.
So, I just placed an order to Eastwood. For that and some other stuff I'll need.

I'll also need to redo the foam "weather" stripping. What's there is all compressed and not doing a good job.

I worked with a mask on and I laid damp t-shirts ( [smilie=e: ) over the edges of the top to help keep the dust down... it kinda worked..

LOL- kittens- your a sad sad guy Dave!!!LOL

have fun!!!!!!!!!!! [smilie=e:

Actually, I'm sorta glad it's not kittens.

I'm allergic to cats.

Been tweaking the blaster cabinet
Got a better weather stripping seal on it now.

Still get a little blow by, but not bad at all.

Now the pressure in the cabinet cause the gloves to compress around my hands like a blood presure band.

Might look at the filter in the exhaust next. [smilie=e:
