Got a new toy............

dustergal

I have serious issues, so I'm
Traded in our 4 cylinder Jeep Compass for something much more practical.

A Charger R/T with a 5.7 Hemi.

Okay, so it's not really more practical. But it's much, much more fun.

2013. It's a leftover from last year with 110 miles on it. So we got a pretty good deal on it. Of course, now I want to take it to the track and see what it will run. I've heard mid 14's but I guess we'll see.

Now you need a nice magnaflow exhaust and you will really love it. A fellow I know has a Hemi 300c and even his wife who drives it the most noticed an increase in performance and some fuel economy gains.

This thing gets up to 32 MPG if I keep my foot out of it. But it's hard to do.

I find the best way to cure that habit is to keep the Ecometer fuel mileage gauge in full view on the dash. I learned that lesson after I clicked on it and it was down to 7 MPG:shifty:

I had an '05 hemi magnum back in '05. It was really nice to drive. I dynoed it and got 278 hp at the wheels. This was with 400 miles on the car and on 87 octane. Yours will do more, the newer ones make more power. I sold it when I went to start it one day and the battery was almost dead. It was almost dead because I had quit driving it due to infatuation with my dually, which I had gotten not long after getting the magnum. I realized that making the payment on the magnum didn't make any sense if I wasn't going to drive it, so I sold it with 3300 miles on it.
