...So anyhow I have lived in a Condo with Garage for the past year and a half and the poor Dart has been stuck in there with electrical problems. (eating coils) So I go and find a nice large Garage for her (oh yeah and there's a house on the lot too), but she still don't run. I'd like to drive her over to the new place but I'm gonna need help.

Anyone interested in a little charity get together some Sunday (sooner the better) to try and get the Dart to its new home? The Drive is a measley 6 blocks or so, I have to get it out to finish packing the Garage up so we can be out of the Condo completely.

Thanks

Whoops! looks like my location is a bit vague, I'm in London. The house is uphill from the Condo. I can tow strap from one to the other if it comes right down to it but then I've got to push it up my driveway using the old tire bumper method, but it just so frustratingly close to operable. I thought someone in the area might be able to get 'er going.

The routine goes something like ...

New coil
double check for spark
start her up fast idle
just around the time she's idling down, stall accompanied by fizzing coil.
I'll have to go to the JY
My ace mechanic buddy moved from nearby Belmont to notso nearby Collingwood. :dgt:

Good call n the Ford coils I'll go by the JY and see if they are throwing some out or something. :)

Thanks all

Have you changed out the ballast resistor and/or the ECU yet????

here's a small diagram that may help you some.....

Tried different Ballast. Charge was a little high last time we got it running waiting for it to settle down a bit, I attributed that to using a lot of charge getting it running but I replaced the Voltage Reg. just in case. I guess I'll have to try the ECU next.

Wouldn't mind helping one bit but the only London I know of is in England???? Little far from the northwest of America. London Canada sounds like Ontario or somethin like that still a ways away. Sorry

how are you "double-checking for spark"?

He's standing in water holding the coil wire while someone cranks the motor...:D

oh no!!!!! another nut around here!!!![smilie=2:

When I can get a buddy over to help (he has since had a baby so he wont be around to help) I pull a plug reattach the wire and touch the curved outer electrode to a ground source IE; engine block or neg batt terminal, while he cranks it over.

London is in Ontario basically halfway between Buffalo and Detroit.

I appreciate the good intentions of those to far to joyride down here to help me get my jalopy going. :)

Keep your eyes peeled for a Hemi Orange 68 Coronet or a freshly painted dark blue Ramcharger. If memory serves the RC has Turbines on it too.
