TDL Spring/suspension,Stittsville,ontario,owned by member Greg73Cuda,,,did a great job re-arching and adding a leaf to,the front suspension in my old W250,the thing sits up and pay's attention again,I actually pretended I was Richard Petty gassin' it into the turns on the way home, and couldn't get any tires to break loose, [smilie=2: ,,,haven't driven a str8 axle dodge, that ran that nice down the road in a long time,,,thanks for fitting me in Greg,I know you guy's are real busy with the big rig's in there,,,also, good guy's you got working in there too! nice and friendly service.

Way to go Greg!! Hey, is it worth re-arching my Charger springs, or should I just buy new?? [smilie=e:

I've had 68/69 Hemi spring's re-arched for years w/out problems John, from the nightmare stories about the newer MP XHD's and SS units,it's worth thinking about re-using your oldies,,,I have a pair of 69 hemi spring's here, that worked well on a GTX I removed a few years back.

What about the ESPO spring them guys are always talkin' about on Moparts?

They rave about the quality & they are less money than a re-arch at the shops around here.

I saw this on the website and was impressed:

We sell only MATCHED PAIR leaf springs. This means that we take the time & trouble to make sure every set of springs that we sell has matching centerbolts, arches, etc. Some places buy in quantities and just pull two springs off the pile. Although they have the same part number, when springs are made they vary. Without taking the time and having the equipment to fix the variances, your car could sit lopsided.

being in Canada, I get things done here as the shipping and brokerage costs to move items like springs to Canada... is crazy.[smilie=2:

Good work Greg!

I hear that - I'm the same way whenever possible - I will often pay a little more to try to support the local economy that supports me. But frankly the spring shops around here don't leave me with much confidence and the pricing is too far out of line. I would rather send them to a board member like Greg, but then one is dealing with two-way freight plus the cost of service...

thanks for the plug chris. i wish i had more time when you dropped in. it would be great to chat, but it's a busy place around there most of the time & i was trying to tie up a few things before heading out. need to sit with you & beer.

re-arching is a great way to increase lift to a sagging spring, but be prepared that it may have to be done every few years. I DO IT on cuda. a sagging spring is a weak spring & unless you address that as a problem re-arching has done nothing to correct that. replace a leaf or add a leaf will keep them in great shape for years & years.
