My son and I with another Moparts member Andy went to the track with my sons Dart. Very nice cool day and he ran a new best of 11.55 @ 116.23. Previous best was 11.59 @ 116. He took off the Holley Street Dominator and the 850 DP and switched back to the Performer RPM with a 750 DP. Not really much change but it did pick up a tad. The mph with the SD and 850 was 116.97. Today with the Performer RPM and 750 it was 116.23 so it actually lost a bit of mph but was bit stronger in the 1/8. Ron Jr said it felt better on the low end while driving it to the track. The best 1/8 before was 7.39 and today it was 7.33 with a 1.62 best 60 today. He raced two SRT-4's and beat them as there was alot of SRT-4's there today and a few did tap the 11's. The he raced a 500 stroker Duster that a girl was driving and her old man actually asked me if my son had ever been spanked by a girl ! I said no and his little 400 street car spanked her troubled run of 12.88. Her old man said it ran 12.0's but acted like she would spank Jr as he knew we were running 11.50's. Any way it was funny to see his tagged street car beat her untagged stroked Duster. Good day with alot of fun. I was hoping for 11.40's today and I forgot the jets again but to be honest I was to lazy to touch anything today. We are happy for now with 11.50's from this true drive anywhere real .030 over 400 (406) streetcar. We plan to make some minor changes over the winter and try to whittle it down to 11.30's or better next year. Here is a shot the track photo guy took. Ron

Awesome, that thing keeps getting faster every time you guys run it. I love it!:dance:

Awesome! New best is always good w/o breakin anything  :D

Next and last open drags of the season is on December 2nd....im not sure if ill be able to take the 'Cuda  . Old/tired/original trans has to come out and my rebuilt, low gear, TF-2 shift kit 904 will go in its place. My 3.91SG will have to go in the 8 3/4" and i gotta pay for this Duster I'm getting...it's not lookin to good as far as making it to the track in search of super low 14s or really high 13s with the 'teen like i wanted :helpme: Oh well if i dont get it to the track I may be around for Mopars at the Strip and can prove the 318 then if i can get my hands on slicks :)

That 318 certainly will be fun though on the street in the mean time with the low gears in the trans and 3.91s [smilie=i: :toot:

Whoo-hoo!

I always love when a tagged street car beats one that has to be trailered. Way to go Ron Jr.

Thanks. No we didn't line up next to ant chebbies as it was so many SRT-4's we seemed to keep drawing one of them. And the funny think was I actually talked to the guy in the Duster first asking about his car as I liked it and the driver wasn't to bad looking either as I think it was his daughter. Then he has to go and say something smart like that to me but I was so surprised that I did not see him hanging around wanting to talk after Ron Jr smacked his daughter. Ron

rofl Priceless.

fantastic!!! sounds like a really good day at the track. i wish we had a track here in this town :doubt: i also wish we had decent air around here

Amazing how they never want to hang around after talking smack. :D

Husband raced a guy in a Diplomat, guy was a total A-hole and kept bragging in the staging lane how fast it was. My husband, who was running on the track for the very first time in his life, beat the guy with a 14.4 second run in my Duster with major traction problems off the line.

The Diplomat guy had slicks and couldn't get out of the 15's. He wouldn't talk to my husband again after that. :giggedy:

wow, i cannot imagine someone running 15's having slicks :D hell almost any first gen. 4 door neon can put down 15's on skinny street tires lol

Yeah, I think he was expecting to be in the 11's or something, hence the slicks.

Course 14.4 is slow too, but it was fast enough to beat him and that's all that counts. :p

Great job guys. I too will be working on a project for the … Not so local drags. The nearest strip is 130miles or so away. *Hoists beer to winter project!*

*Hoists second beer to spankin the hotties*
