well.....ive kept it under my hat long enuf as i suspected the deal to fall thru as they always do

early last month an old friend dropped by to say high and ask if i still had any "spare" fish laying around...the guy is a mopar FREAK...and has finaly settled down and has time for a project...told him what i wanted for the green 69 fastback..3k...said he'd be back at the end of the month

yesterday i was out goofing off hanging out at the local hobby shop chatting with the R/C crawler organizer..as im fixing to get into running with them(think of it as racing on a points system)...

while i was gone..said friend dropped by again..3k in hand...said he'd be back next week

soooo bye bye goes that godamned green 69 fastback that was my "ex's" car...should be getting a NASTY 383 (built and sitting ready to drop in)

as some of you know..this car is primed and ready for a good setup...the original metalic green paint still holds a shine like it did when it left the factory....the drums are gone as is the 7 1/4 cause i swapped in a 8 3/4 (b body) and 74 disc's up front...going with the car is some black gut

yes fishy all of those parts you rode home with in the back of the corola wagon are going BYE BYE...hell bro your the one that helped me pull all the stuff off the car and put it all on the car way back when


sooo its time to do some yard shuffling...its not a craptastic job as it would seem...just a mild PITA...the car is behind the shop..acessable thru the rear door..problem is that the 68 coupe is baring its path out and theres a small pit behind the 68...sooooo i need to fill or cover the pit to shove the 8 back...once the 69 is in the shop...only the lloyd and the trailer stand between it and freedom

on a side note...i got ahold of my cousin FINALY..and should be getting some more shop roofing/sideing around the end of the month...BIGGER SHOP WOOHOOOO!!!!!


soo whats that leave me with 5 complete fish and enuf skeletal remains to build 2-3 more?
 
LOL at one point i had
2-68's 1 coupe 1 fb
4-67's 2 cp 2 fb
4-69's 2 cp 2 fb

of the cars that dont really exist any more..ive still got the frame rails, inner fenders, floor pans, quartrs..some roof's and ALOT of tid bits

course back in 98?(fishy can verify the date maybe?) i picked up 3 yes 3!!!! fish for 500$ 1 67 coupe shell..1 69 coupe complete 1 pretty much totaled 67 FB(complete and running just totaled down the passenger side TWICE!!!)...1 week later i sold the front clip off the 67 shell for 300$ and a few other bits and had made my 500$ back..and met someone with a 68

fast forward..that 68 guy i met i now OWN his 68...and that 67 FB donated damn neer everything to his 69 FB...all that remains of that 67 FB is the floor pan front inner fender/rail section(flawless as it left the factory) and a quarter and rear rails.....everything else..yes the roof too...went to his 69


lets not forget im in the middle of the city..on UNDER 1/3 acre with a 2200sqf house smack dab in the middle of the lot!!!

Oh yeah I remember that trip from Wildcats. Get all the parts it the wagon and then, "Oh yeah, where's Tim gonna sit?":hmmm: They stuffed me in the back hatch of a 78 Corolla wagon and I had to contort AROUND all these damn parts for the roughly 1 hour trip home and not even a single "You ok back there?" all I got was "Dont crunch the trim pieces!" :mad:

:bwuhaha:Even I got a good laugh about it though!! Good times, good times. Wish 69. still had that pic, it was funny as hell to see!

yup yup joel wants it...he's working for a shop that buys and sells used shop equipment..he runs his own hours his own truck..total fredom on what he pays and makes for the most part........ima see what he cant hook me up with :wink:

im hopeing it doesnt end up like his dart did..badass and then totaled
 
thanx for the reminder..ill have to ask

if im not mistaken....the 383 on the stand and waiting...is the same one that was in the dart when it met the wall dissing a bowtie
