28 years of leaky Dodge truck windshield sure takes it's toll. [smilie=e:

I have new floor pans to cover the gaping holes, today all the rusty surfaces got a nice coat of por-15. New pans are timmed and fitted for overlay type installation. Much more work to be done, stay tuned. [smilie=a:

Yes this is the recently purchased peek-up. I knew the floors needed work but not this much! :D

Not a big deal really as this is the only rust on the truck and was a common problem, seems many of these trucks had leaky windshields right off the showroom floor. [smilie=e:
Thankfully replacement pans are readily available....otherwise a stop sign or two may have gone missing in my neighborhood. [smilie=e:

If that por-15 sticks to rust like is does my hands, I will be impressed Rusty. [smilie=w:

Don't worry, what you didn't get RIGHT off will wear off in a few days! I've had a few problems with sticking, but I blame myself, user ignorance, but when it sticks, IT STICKS! Rich.

I used latex gloves while painting Ron, but when I was closing up the can I forgot the gloves and managed to get some on me. [smilie=e:

Heading down to the shop today to see how it turned out.

Yup, that por-15 is pretty tough. Had to massage a spot with a hammer for better fitment and it's still intact. [smilie=e:

Floor pans are in, still have some detail work before all is said and done but at least it has a floor again. [smilie=e:

I will take a pic after it's all painted, gonna brush on some rust preventative Tractor Paint :D .

Dang Beep....i did the same thing last time i used that stuff !! [smilie=b:

That's one sweet tow rig....keep up the good work [smilie=e:

Ron

According to them(por) very resistant to most chemicals when cured, I tried rustolium(spry bomb) on the inner bumpers, not a lot of success!
Been seeing a lot of good comments on the eastwood stuff but haven't tried it yet! Rich.

Rustoleum sucks. Apparently the Eastwood stuff is better than the POR..... [smilie=e:

I'll let you guys know in a couple a years, when cuda hits highway speed & I leave a trail of my paint! [smilie=e: Rich.
I'm the perfect test, everyting, I mean everything has a coat of por 15, cept the outside of the doors & trunk lid, their base coat is ppg epoxy! so I have a couple of comparison areas! [smilie=e: Time will tell! Rich.

Beep ,I don't think you will ever get the lid off that por15 can ever again.....lol....been there, not fun ,,,if not ,just drill a hole and pour it out and reseal with a big self tapping screw or bolt. the first time I used it,i went next day to finish and that was it,the lid no budge, later,of course, somebody told me you have to put a zip lock bag or somethin' between the can and lid,and then it will come back off,,,truck looks good,at least you are doin' it right, and won't have to worry about it anymore,,,I like dem' big ol' trucks !!

I know this is a stretch here!(no not you Stretch!) & I'm guilty too but there are specific instructions with these prouducts! [smilie=e: Rich.
