Damn better have a '13second 318 in a 3,600lb car' on Friday night, or someones goin home pissed. :bwuhaha:

Last outing I turned a 14.0 @ 95 with 5,200ft d/a. Lately its been about 4,200ft (low 80s), its supposd to be dipping into the 60's Friday night :giggedy: . Also the last time it was starving itself at the top end. Car has a all new fuel system that will definately keep up and also a ram-air setup that should be better than nothing. Super Six 318 [smilie=J:  :hmmm:

So between much better air, ram air setup, fuel system to keep up and a few tweaks i outta get a tenth if not a couple out of it. :gaga: :xl:

I'll be racing guys like this all night, only got 'em by 4seconds :bwuhaha:

Do you empty the trunk and all unnessicary stuff from the car before heading down the track? Anything that doesn't make the car GO is just dead weight in a drag race. I remember a Car Crap or Hot Rot magazine article where they did all that stuff and literally picked up a few tenths for $0 spent. If you're not already doing that it just might be that last little bit that helps put you over the edge.

BTW: You'll probably get there with the fuel and intake mods anyway. But why not bust into the 13's as big as you possibly can? :D

Actually last time we swapped tires in the parking lot. my buddy took my radials to the stands and i had the jack and tools in the trunk for the 14.0 :bwuhaha: not again, but i might just pull the passenger seat. Couple nuts and its out...wouldn't hurt to dump it. :xl: :bravo:

Don't forget to remove the spare tire too, I don't think you're gonna be changing a flat at the 1000' mark......

Ah i dont carry one, ebodies dont have trunk space to begin with [smilie=f: :xl:

I think you will break into the 13's with plenty to spare this time. I agree about taking everything out of the car that does not need to be there but I would leave the seat. When I used to drag my neon I would see guys pulling back seats and front seats and although I am probably wrong it just seemed desperate to me. Good luck and have fun!

LOL, yeah, I've seen people do that too...don't get too carried away Goody. :D

When I get to the track I dump the spare tire and tools, lower the tire pressure in my drag radials, remove the air cleaner, and unload the kids and car seat. The last part gets a big laugh from the tech guys.

Good luck!

Well I'll tell you what, the seats all stay in as usual. But I'm not leaving without a damn 13second slip this time, so if they HAVE to come out, well...:bwuhaha:

LOL, I can see Goody out in the pit area flailing around in a pile of seats, interior panels, carpeting, removing the front bumper, etc...;) :D

ah hell i forgot all about this thread. that last friday night i had some electrical gremlin on the way. Kept blowing fuses and had to head home. Ended up troubleshooting it to the bulb socket having a exposed hot wire touching the socket ground...all fixed now, next race is tomorrow night.

bah, friends bailed on me, had nobody to keep an eye on my tires. I run slicks when im there...yea, i know...drag radials are on my never ending list of things to buy. hopefully the 13th i can go, im DYING to run...
