Go-in yarden!

Stretch

Hey! There’s no easy button for a body like this!
I will be heading to Rheinlander WI. after work tonight to meat up with Chrissies dad. In the morning we will be heading out to a town called Camp Douglas WI. There we will meet up with Beeper.

The yard we are going to is called C. L. Chase auto salvage. Supposedly he has around 4000 cars and hasn’t crushed a thing since the '40's. He doesn't pull any parts either so there is no calling ahead for what you want and picking it up. He is open seven days a week so I am looking forward to two days of rooting around and lying in junk yard mud with my good buddy beeper.

Beeper, don’t forget you’re.... well....ummm.... Toolbox. ;) ;)

If there are any 1968 Satellites with grills and headlight bezels, and quarter panel extensions and taillights, please let me know. I'm converting the second '69 runner to a '68. If parts arise, I get them for future work on said car.

I'd be interested in a 79 aspen/volarie grille. cracked but not shattered would be fine.
Not too expensive, I can't touch the e-bay ones.

I am so totally jealous. :(

Hope you guys find some good stuff! And I wanna see pictures!!

Sweeet! Keep on the lookout for '49 Dodge stuff? Please? :)

Yahknow, a couple years ago I had a '49 Canadian 4dr sedan, nice chrome NOS taillights, super rusty floor, I traded it to a yard near me for credit on a couple cars and they squashed it. :doubt:

Oh an Stretchy! I could really use a set of side windows for a '74-'78 4dr Hard Top C-barge!

And a 8.25 SG. Please! :)

Ah yes, Chase's, been there. The guy is an ex gy-rine. Somewhat of a fanatic militant, wants to shoot anyone that pisses him off. If you've got a military past, he's your friend for life. :D

ahh..:wtf: , maybe drag the little brother over there when he gets back from "over there" the yard is about 3 hours from here.

Met up with stretch and his future father in-law today and then found the yard. This place is huge and chock full of 50's, 60's and 70's iron....I can't believe I had not been here before as it's only 30 miles from my home!

We were suprised to see the number of E-bodies (we found more than a dozen and I'm betting there are still more) and AMC Javelins strewn about, seemed like every time we spotted a Javelin a E-body was soon to follow.

I even found some parts for the RR, a unmolested gauge cluster from another 71 was found in very good condition which I put a down payment on as I was short on cash, will pick it up in a week or 2.
Also some much needed sheetmetal was found....I will be going back for that also.

Was nice to see stretch again and his gals dad is a cool fella, for a Ford guy.

Stretch took a bunch of pics...I'm sure he will share them once he gets a chance, they are staying down this way overnight and going back tomorrow for more goodys.

Actually there are cars in that area also but no one is allowed in there as it's part of a seperate estate. I went back yesterday and picked up my cluster and had a long chat with the owner...he pointed out a plum crazy version of my car lurking over there but unfortunately it's hands off. :(

Would it be worth a trip for someone looking for 66 through 70 B-Bodies?

Well, actually, an E-Body wouldn't be bad either.

I mean are these strictly parts cars or could one find a half decent project in there?

Pretty much all parts cars DCF, every E-body we found was either horribly wrecked or rotted away. We did spot several 68-70 Chargers but nothing worth saving.

I have lots of pics but I haven't had time to post them. Perhaps tonight. If you go there bring cash, Lots of cash!
