GIOrunner

Well hell, I don't know what I did with the pics I had. I'll take some this weekend when I'm out putzing around with it. Plan is to finish a few bits in the interior and get the 3rd member swapped out. I suppose I should get the truck seal installed just to end that curse. :toot:

Well since I apparently brain farted and going to be putting it on the 'truck' I'll leave it stand upright for that. I'll tackle the runner by holding my niece up by her feet and have her put it on.

I don't think she will like that. Sooooooo, where does the truck seal go on a runner? Mine might be missing also:bwuhaha:

She's a little gearhead, she'll be a sport about it.
I'd love to get her into a jr dragster but my bro doesn't have a tru(n)ck to lug stuff around with. The car's no problem. Maybe at some point though.

As you remember from last weeks show, I got most of the pieces put back in the interior, carpet finished, seats and belts in, and the trans seals installed. This weekend I pulled the pig and now have gios 8.75" 3rd member firmly lodged in his rear end where it's resting comfortably. Gio said it's a posi unit but it tests like it's open, it's still dry though. Does that make a difference?
After talking with the gio-nator the rear brakes will have to go, might be able to scrape the drums clean. We have broken hardware and at some point something oiled down the shoes, hard to tell if it was the wheel cyclinder or an axle seal. What ever it was, it was years and years ago and has she has new seals now. We'll throw a new MC at it too.I hope all the lines come apart without an argument. Probably go get the motor next weekend.

Oh yeah I forgot "ick, it's gio-green"
This is one clean metal car, except for 40 years of undercoating and sand it's minty fresh.

Holy crap! We're cheaper than Harbor Freight on something?! That's a first.

We sell 'em for around $39.95/pair.

Sorry for the pissy responce Jass, I was pissed about something else at the time and that was unwarrented. They wouldn't work for what I'm trying to do anyway, but they are neeat. I'm doing the front suspension this winter (everything) and trying to figure out a way to support the car on the K-member (where the weight's suposed to sit) instead of jackstands under the front frame rails behind the front wheels with all that weight hanging out front for who knows how long.
Yeah I probly sound like a geek, but I'm uncomforable with that. Or should I just not worry about it. :helpme:

That's a dam nice green there Gio

I wasn't smart enough to look for the sure grip unit before I put it in but I'm pretty sure it's an open diff. If you turn the dr side wheel the pass side turns backwards and the pinion does nothing, when you turn the pass side the pinion turns but the dr side does nothing.
Bummer.
