Get Smart!

Yeah, that looks like a handful of grins. I wondered why, once the OE 260 was gone, they bothered with a 289 instead of a 302... then thought, might as well go 347, then.... oh, never mind, it's probably a freakin' rocket as-is.

wernt some of those cars even 440s?..i know the company loved using "yank" motors lol
and yeah those things are a RIOT...ive witnessed more than a few around here driven very hair'y
i love em..

I love it!

The Jensen Interceptor was available with a 383 or a 440, if I remember right.

this thing with a big block.. hooo. That’d be a blast.

ahh see thats where i got confused...jensen did the engine swaps for sunbeam(rootes) and shelby designed the setup to fit..and even made a prototype of fitting a 427 into one.....and later chrysler bought it and a few other euro companys and killed em...the tiger specificaly failed when they tryed to stuff an LA into it..not sure how/why that didnt work tho

If they were doing it today they'd put a "Coyote" motor in it. (whatever that is. I'm just repeating the description I hear on Mecum of 99% of the engine swapped Fords)

Speaking of Ford motors, I looked at and would've bought a Bullitt or Shelby at one point, but local taxes made and thoughts of insurance costs that not such a great idea. We've got annual vehicle property tax based on the value of the car. :(

those motors are no joke!

did a lil rabbit holeing last night and came across a couple things i had no clue about....
jensen interceptor 383 then 440..a couple were made as 6pack cars and less than 10 were made special with a 426!!!!!!!..all of them ABS and AWD
