Front door drippings

I got drunk and swallowed my teeth, now
As with many other things, one aspect is always paramount...........location, location, location.

My new hacienda happens to be located less than 2 blocks from the county fairgrounds. Which for the last 37 years has been the location of the bi-annual http://www.madisonclassics.com/ show & swap. This thing is huge and is now a 3 day event. I don't even have to leave my front yard to see a car show. friday is primarily swap but saturday & sunday include show cars. Needless to say, the traffic past my front door was quite interesting. Saturday was the largest turnout and I was having so much fun I didn't even think of my camera, but I remembered it sunday. :silenced:

Behold some of the 'local' traffic;

I was a little slow with the cam. :doh:

There were so many more, and an over abundance of fomoco's & gm's. :(

And between all of the "kit" street rods and corvettes I've seen enough fiberglass to keep me itching for most of the winter. :doh:

I'm in love!!!!!!!

What's with the VW parts on your neighbour's lawn?

What's with the VW parts on your neighbour's lawn?

He had a beetle ragtop in his driveway for $2100. It had a backwards hoodscoop added to look like a hood tach. When he got the beetle it came with a spare hood & fender. The car is gone but the parts stayed. :huh:

How are them garages coming?

As of Friday one of them had the roof on and the floor poured. After the "parade" of cars on Sunday I pulled the electric cable to the nearest garage but I haven't gotten anything connected yet.

Gotta love being able to just sit there and watch the car show roll by. That is what a few of us have been doing for one of th eBIG shows here locally. We show up around 5:45am with our lawn chairs and sit and watch teh 2000 cars roll into the show. We are usually there until 10am....then we walk around and look at the few cars that really interested us as they rolled in, and we are usually out of there by 12-1pm.

Thanks for the pics! :thumbsup:
