Looks like a few spectaters got burned to me, a friend was at Daytona last year when the napa car got into the infield and waltrip was trapped upside down and was sprayed with mud from across the track.

Nine spectators, whose names were withheld, were injured in the crash. Three women and two men were treated at Halifax. One spectator sustained a facial laceration, one a fractured upper arm, one a bruised lip, one a slight head injury and another an injured forearm. All are listed in stable condition. According to Kathy Catron, director of media relations for Daytona International Speedway, driver Jimmy Kitchens is alert and in stable condition for undisclosed injuries and is being treated at Halifax. Four other spectators and eight drivers, including Lonnie Rush, Jr., Jamie McMurray, Lydnon Amick, B.A. Wilson, Rob Morgan, John Young, Jimmy Hensley and Norrick, were treated and released from the infield care center.
