Except for those goofy wheels, it's pretty sharp. I'd be happy to drive it. :)
And it's got a 403 Olds, which was a little better (:toot:) than that stinking pile of dung the Poncho 400 was.

My brother-in-law has a 79 TA out west, bought it brand new, with a 403. It lights up the rears fairly easy.
But with T tops, it shakes and rattles over the slightest bump.

Everything else from that era only came with 85mph speedo's.

Some moron politician thought that if the speedo only went to 85 that's all the faster the people would drive it. :doh:

That's what I was thinking, then I went out and checked Frank's speedo(my great granddad's 79 Chevy pickup), and it also goes to 100. You'd think that after driving it since 90, I'd remember without checking. I think the 85mph deal was for the 80 and up GM models. I could be wrong, but it seems like that was when it happened.

it was more than just the GM's. I've got an '82 motorcycle capable of 130mph, but the original speedo only went to 85. :doh:
 
alfa's were the same way unlessspecialy ordered...140mph cars with 85mph speedos unless you paid for a really special package and got the 160
 
My 82 Supra's speedo only went to 85 mph. It pinned the needle there quite easily. :)
