...and maybe DCF, but anyone else can listen and give him a shot, too. It's hard rock, so don't say you weren't warned, but it's all instrumentals at this point.

This is my good friend Martin's band, "Whisper from the Ashes". He does all the writing, arranging, and is the lead guitarist. He's working on vocals and a vocalist, but the axe-work is pretty impressive, at least to me. There are several samples halfway down the page. I've known Martin since he was a kid, and I can tell you personally, he's a hell of a good guy. I never even knew of his musical talent, he's just a fine individual. Check him out:

Checking it out now. Been feeling the urge to dust off one of my axes and let 'er rip again. Just need the time now. :)

HAHAHAHA That little headbanging dude is exactly in rhythm with the song too!!! :bwuhaha:

I mentioned that to him on FB, and he'll enjoy the fact that you did so... the more exposure, the better. He's actually talking with a couple of labels; I'm really hoping this goes somewhere for him.

That wold be cool. I was working with a band that had 3 cd's out locally, toured all over Michigan and even a few west coast shows. They were on the verge of possibly being signed by Nikki Sixx's label but,.... the singer, Lissa broke up with her boyfriend Jason who was th guitar player for some other dude. Needless to say it was all south from there. I was the bands guitar/bass/keyboard tech, stage crew, videographer...etc... sucks she had to bust up the band like that at such a time but, such is life I guess.

What I like is that labels are interested even though there are no lyrics yet. Obviously I'm biased, but I think the man can sling an axe pretty well and does pretty damned well at arrangements as well.

Lyrics might be good but, I think they are extremely solid as instrumentals too. I've been looking for good riff heavy instrumental Metal for some time so I'm diggin the hell out of these songs as they are! Would love to have a copy of this disc, sans vocals! ;)

I'll send you an e-mail with two full versions... has the hotmail address changed in the last several years?

Yes, I have permission from Martin to do so.

I've been giving them a listen...very cool, and I likey!! And I like the songs sans vocals. If they were to add lyrics/vocals I'd hope they got the right sound of singer to compliment the music.

Feel free to spread the joy if you know someone that would enjoy this stuff. Martin would love that. E-mail, other sites, whatever.

All pretty good groove-laden stuff (I liked "Tornado of Dreams" the best), it reminds me of our early jam sessions when we just made up stuff on the fly.
