I just got over the flu down here, wife and FIL are still down for the count after a week. I'm mostly over it after three days. It was the first time I've gotten it in over 20+ years. I don't take any flu shots, but I got infected cleaning up after the FIL after he did the nasty in the recliner :eek: . Yuck, I knew I was in for it. Ambulance carted both the wife and FIL off on separate days, FIL was in for a day, wife for about 6 hours. Lots o' fun around here boys, don't mess around if you get this stuff, it's bad this time around.

I never get a flu shot either, really don't understand the reasoning. Why trade a 50/50 'maybe' for a definite 'shoot-it-straight-in-my-body'? I'll take my chances thank you. Ppl were dropping like flies here this winter.
 
I'm with you a12. And thanks Boothead, we're alol doing better today. FIL had us worried foir awhile.
 
both my parents were teachers so I think I'm immune to everything, I've had brown bottle flu, and food poisoning, but I fail to recall a real case of "flu". and no I've never got a shot.
 
Man, that's horrible. I too hope everyone gets better...

There are multiple kinds of the flu bug, so the flu vaccine only protects you against 1, really there is no point. I'm strongly against vaccinations. After doing the research on them......no way will I ever vaccinate myself or my family.
