I was at my second job (which was a horrible night last night!) and as I was taking the trash out back I slipped on the ice and twisted the hell out of my ankle!!! [smilie=l: Got it wrapped in an ace bandage for now and I knew as soon as I took off my work boots it was going to be a bad idea....BINGO! This fugger HURTS! I've had many a sprained, twisted, broken ankle but none that I recall causing this much agony! Since it happened on the clock I'm gonna see if I can get a workmans comp claim and have it looked at tomorrow. Far as I know I have 24 hours to report it and that's just what I'm gonna do. Shoulda known I fugged it but good when even putting pressure on the gas pedal to drive home hurt! :doh:

Beeper's right yanno! My 1st sprain was shortly after i washed Dad's 56 Dodge Royal on our lawn. Then Dad & I were going to take Roxxy's car to get fixed, I walked down the slope part and down I went I was in a cast for six weeks also. But the last time it happened to Roxxy she was in a cast for a week and in a boot for 3 months!

Yes do what he said. I was playing volleyball in high school gym class. I jumped up for a spike/block/whatever and came down sideways on my left ankle. By the time I limped to the side, I could barely take my shoe off. After that, I had to drive home and with a manual transmission no less. I made it home (home was halfway between school and the hospital) and pretty much crawled into the house. I waited for mom to get home and went to the hospital. By that time, it had swelled to about twice it's normal size and was all kinds of purple and blue. I was sure I had broken it but after an x-ray, the doctor assured me it was just a major sprain. I was on crutches for a few weeks after.

But atleast my shoulder I can look back on and laugh my ass off!!!:bwuhaha: Still hurts like hell now and then but ahhh shit happens and you guys all got a good laugh at my expense....like that's something new!:D
 
You're working today though. Aren't ya?

GO GET IT LOOKED AT... and file a report at work. Even if you don't miss any work right now, it could come back to bite you in the ass another time.

Yup - did some major damage to my right shoulder at work about 6 years ago. Didn't do anything about it or make a report.

There are days now that it virtually cripples me - and there is nothing I can do about it.
 
Hey Fishy, if it makes you feel any better, you're not alone. I slipped last night while feeding the horses, and tossed my back out. Get it taken care of. *grabs phone book, looks up chiropractors*
 
Well I woke up this morning and it felt fine. A bit tender but yeah I shold have had it looked at, which I didn't. Feels like a normal sprain now but last night it hurt like hell!! Yeah like a moron I let it slide...:doh: Hope it doesn't come back to haunt me!:helpme:
