.......and it's black! and solid as a Rock! gotta' love those california cars ! Only 1 thing we aren't sure about,do we put the black vinyl top back on it ? or shave the trim holes and shoot her body color ?,car has the black interior and red tail stripe,,,

here's a pic of the custom "street cage" Ron had installed, nice job,it ties everything in to the frame connectors,go's down thru the rear pkg. tray, and stays low,for gettin' yer' ass in and out easy, and maintaining the factory armrests, plus gives it that sleeper look,,,great car, can't wait to get started smoothin' this thing out for paint,,,

Vinyl top please and thank you. [smilie=::

Thats gonna be a sweet ride. Love the cage. [smilie=c:

Ron kinda' wanted it all painted, then we got to thinkin' put the top back on,he already has the top and red tail stripe at home for it,,so,it's not like he has to wait 2 months, for year 1, if he changes his mind,,,I think triple black too,,those seats he just tossed in for the guy that fabbed the rollbar,he has the nice black ones with the headrests for the car,,,

Dave, wouldn't you like to get yer' hands on those fenders ,and cut a big old rectangle in em' fer' '69 marker lites!......lol.....I tried for ya' Dave,he won't come off of them !!

2 months ago - yes!

Now, I just need some room in the garage to work.
I got my New Jersey driver side and my Alaskan passenger side waiting to get stripped and fixed up..

Actually FedEx.
It was $120.
I had it shipped to my brother's restaurant - so it was a commercial address - makes it a bit cheaper.

Nice fender. Zero rot.

So far, yeah.

But I'm only a green vinyl top away from going back to original.
So, it's cheap to change my mind.

If I go with my original concept of making this thing look like it would have, say in 1974 - a 5 year old car that's had an engine upgrade, then I'd be making it F8 with an F8 top and a white gut.

There's nothing that says I should do that except the nagging little voice in the back of my head...

Black No Vinyl top would be my vote. althought the trim does stand out nicely

Cage looks great [smilie=e:

it's a tough decision with black, all the thick charger style stainless, stands out alot better with black,,we'd be eliminating alot of stainless going with a painted roof....well I better go to crappy tire and get some kitty litter and hydraulic fluid,we had to lay the hoist down yesterday for servicing/repair and the guey crap is everywhere,,

got her up on the hoist tonite,,she looks tight, frame connectors are in and the LCA's have been stiffened,I'll pull the seats and dash next,,then remove the K frame and rear axle for sandblasting,,

LCA's stiffened.......next we'll remove the K frame and rear axle for blasting and paint, and add the aftermarket disc brakes,E-headed 446 and tranny to the K frame on the ground and re-install after the paintwork is done,,

tailpanel is sweet, some minor surface rust,,and a couple small patches on the lower outer skins of the quarter panels is the only sheetmetal she needs, the extensions are good to go,,

trunk pan,,nice and clean too !!!!!!!......and yes,Ron,I verified ,it's got a 3.55 s.g. in it now.....
