Looking good there Miss Pen... :bravo: Now you just need some of those fancy MOPRNUT license plates (tags, for the resident cheeseheads) and you will be all set...

I was waiting for you to comment! See I told you I would put it on....only took me a few months. :shifty:

hmmmm.....I forgot all about personalized plates. This year the stupid state of Michigan made us swap all our old cool blue plates for ugly ass white ones.

I still have a legal blue one.:toot:

bastage!!:D

The white ones don't even say Great Lakes on them, just michigan.gov....for some reason that irks me, lol

I live on the edge of one of those lakes... it's really not that great. Too windy.

DG, you just gotta get a plate from the same year as your car, and register it with that number. That's why Stretchy's got a legal blue plate... it's a 1973-issue item (very-dark blue).

Sadly, the last plate with a stamped year in MI is 1979, so it won't happen for the LeBaron.

I figured it was too much trouble to do that with the Sec. of State, but I never really looked into it. I don't think it would be too hard to find a '73 plate, I've seen several at swap meets. hmmmm

I think I still have the one from my Challenger, actually. Number is 9199-GU. It's a strange plate since it doesn't have "GREAT LAKES STATE" on the bottom--it's just blank in that area. I'd put a "Challenger" quarter-panel emblem on it in that spot back in '88, but come to think of it, now that the Chally emblem is gone, it'd be a perfect spot for a michigan.gov decal.

I know I had a pair of those plates, and I think Stretch might have one of them... if I can dig out the other, would you want it? Or do you want the "GREAT LAKES STATE" writing?

Aw, it's okay, it would probably take me years to convert it over anyway, just like it took 6 months for the moparnuts sticker to get on my car. :D thanks for the offer though.

Well, there goes your opportunity for a 1973 plate with a web address for the draconian MI government on it. Your loss. :D
