Now just on those stats alone, I think the HemiCuda was the real supercar. Some would argue that the Ferrari handles where the Cuda does not... I would say that after the first 1/4 mile it wouldn't really matter...

yeas but on a full road coarse...an AAR cuda on the other hand would probably hand it its ass all over the place

I smoked a Ferrari somethin or other with a "512" emblem on the back with my Taurus yesterday.

It was red.
It was wide.
It was low.
It's driver had a widdle binky. (I assume.)
It was afraid to be on the open highway.
I wasn't afraid.

We had a little (VERY little) drag race up to the next bunch of traffic where he got blocked in his lane and I kept rolling right along.

*swaggers around and strikes an heroic pose*

Oh and we are so proud of you. I whipped up on a kid on a bicycle with my pacer last week too.;)

This one time, right after I had freshly greased my walker......

:bwuhaha:

And a Toyota Corolla with Jim Carrey at the wheel will beat a top fueler with Helen Keller at the helm.

Hey, all I know is that we were both headed for the same spot and I got there first.

Sure, maybe he was just chicken - but racing is JUST about the car, it's the driver too.

What is a "512" anyway. I know squat about dancing horses.

In 1991, the Ferrari 512 TR, The new testarossa represented a big step up in Ferrari performance. With 41 more horsepower than its predecessor, the new 428 bhp engine shaves a big 1.0 seconds off the already impressive 5.7 second 0-60 mph speed. The chassis has been extensively reconstructed as has the 5 speed manual transmission, and brakes. A minor facelift adds to the new bodywork giving the TR a more aggressive, lean look yet holds that timeless Testarossa style intact.

0 to 60 in 4.7.....[smilie=2:

thats asumeing the tires grab and the idiot at the wheel knows how to shift

then of course theres the "kit car" factor to think about..since most US exotics are nothing more than a hunk of glass over a fiero

Could you hear it run? I know a guy with a ferarri clone body on a Z-28 chassis, and it gets just as many seatcovers as the real thing. A gearhead can tell if it was making the correct exhaust note though.:dgt:

So it took 21 years for Ferrari to finally beat Plymouth in the 0-60 race:D

I guess it's not too strange then to see a Hemi 'Cuda go for 7 figures. That's about what a mint Dino gets, right?

It would be fun to see what a professional driver could do around a track with say an AAR 'Cuda and a Ferrari from the same year.

But now on to the more important question...which car gets you more tail?

I think that may also be a toss-up.

Nah.
It's January.
In Canada.
I had the windows up and the stereo cranked.

I honestly didn't even think to turn off the radio and roll down the window to hear it.

You raise a good point, though. Because it's January. In Canada. We salt our roads and this guy's out in his testicleroaster 512. :hmmm:

fiberglass car ... a bit harder to rust.

I dont really like the ferarri's ... they rev the shit outa their small little v-12. I was suprised when i figured out that their engines are the size of honda's but with 12 cylinders and turbos and superchargers and whatever else they can add to them.

I dono ... i would think a cuda would get more tail .... where a ferarri would get the high class grey pupon tail.
