FCA US increased retail sales; lost share

FCA US’ retail sales rose by 6% in the thirdquarter of 2015, compared with the third quarter of 2014; butthat didn’t quite match the industry, and retail market share fell from 12.0% to 11.9%. The company wrote that fleet sales were unchanged at 18%. Sales as a whole rose by 7% and total market share, including fleets, was up from 12.3% to 12.4%.
Generally, the third quarter has a lower fleet percentage, with the first quarter usually taking the highest fleet percentages. The first quarter of 2012 had 31% of cars going to fleets; in 2013 that went down to 28%; in 2014, it went down to 23%. (...) →
