f5l-912 5 cylinder deutz air cooled diesel for sale

I have a deutz air cooled 5 cylinder diesel engine. It came out of a 1979 dodge class b motor home. It was running fine when I pulled it 6 months ago, though I had to remove the oilpan and pickup tube to get it out of the rv. (the pan and tube are included with the engine) Since this came out of a vehicle instead of a piece of heavy equipment, the injection pump has the type of governor that works well with varying engine speeds. It is rated at 100 hp and roughly 275 ft/lbs of torque. It would be ideal for putting in a pickup truck or other vehicle to make a bulletproof, simple drivetrain setup that doesn't require a radiator or coolant. Absolutely no computer or electronics are required to run this engine. In fact, you could rig up a cable for the shutoff lever on the injection pump and then the only thing any electricity would be needed for is to run the starter. The oilpan is a rear sump style, so it will work with a lot of vehicle chassis without having to be modified much if at all.

I also have the chrysler 727 transmission that was behind it, as well as the bellhousing adapter to mate the transmission to the engine. The transmission lost reverse some time ago, but the forward gears still worked. I'll sell the transmission and adapter for an additional $250 if needed.

I will ship this item for the cost of shipping plus $75 for me dealing with getting it on a pallet and to a shipping dock. Due to the number of scams floating around, I WILL ONLY ACCEPT CASH. If you're not picking it up you must find a way to get me cash. I'm sorry I have to insist on this, but I've been burned before.

Awesome piece. Tough sell up north due to the lack of coolant for heat. Got a couple of them in various units at work, they're great for stickbooms. One in a wheel loader has an odd setup to run oil through a heater core in the cab. Hate to be running that unit and have the heater core spring a leak. How much?

Ah, I'm a dumbass. I put the price of the trans but not the motor. I'd like to get 2 grand for the motor.
