expanding foam is a bad choice for packing material

BB71Challenger

comparing distributors and
i used expanding foam when packing some heavy objects and i just learned it is not a good choice. worse than that is the fact that i did not even have enough sense to put the objects in a plastic bag and now it is all a goey looking mess

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA! Tooooo frickin funny!

*GASSSSSSPPP*

It worked for the diff I had sent to Jass. It was in a plastic bag inside a 5 gallon bucket filled with the stuff. No damage at all. Kinda like electrical tape. It the wrongs hands, it's a disaster.

its great for that if you leave an outlet for the extra. ive seen people use it with great results stiffening up and sound deadening body panels and trunk lids but there again you have to let the excess push out somewhere or it will distort the hell out of the panel.

is this out of a spray can or mix it yourself and pour(where do you get the mix it yourself and pour anyway need some for the hot tub)

Think you can find a plastic bag big enough to put the door in??????:D

Like WOW MAN

I didnt think of that- that would be a big suka. I was thinking more along the lines of laying down flat and scooping the stuff around with a 2 by 4 like smoothing a concrete slab.

They make foam insulation with foil on both sides that would be perfect for your garage doors. Just cut to fit and glue in. I used it on the pull down door to my attic and it really made a difference in that hallway.

Does a nice job of collecting moisture and further rotting out you "prized posessions".
It's definitely killed more than a few 1/4 panels and trunk floors, on cars that would otherwise have survived.

It don't come off surfaces too easily either...Noses included.

Mark.

it works GREAT sealing up elect outlets and windows but I did make a big mess when I first used it if a little is good more is better....
