Ethical question - bidding hit the reserve

You have quite some time left....I would let it run, then make a decision when it is closer to finish. ;)
wish I had more money, I love those.

I would say let it run too. Who knows any different if you have offers locally? Just tell the locals you'll think about it. The only thing I'd have to say is that if you sell it to a local, you'll know what their intentions are for the car. Who knows what the buyer on E-bay will do. That also depends on how much attachment you have to the car and if you really care what happens to it.

Remember, the bidding don't get going until the last 2 minutes, but then its too late to back out. Let it ride for awhile, and if it sticks around the same price, then sell it outright, to keep from paying the comission.

id let it run also..but let the locals know its posted on the bay..it may up the bidding...another thing to think about is this...if its localy owned you will see it more often..if you cant deal with parting with it it will be a constant reminder...and on the other side of that if its localy owned you get to see it go down hill in front of your eyes if its abused

I saw that, didn't know it was yours. Decent looking car. :)

The one point about a local sale that hasn't been made yet is you don't have to worry about someone halfway across the country getting PO'd over the car's condition. A local buy will have checked it out. That fact keeps me from jumping into selling cars on e-bay.

Looks like a local sale won't be an issue. Had a lookie-loo over early in the week and the local people that sounded really interested never materialized. It's at $5600 with over a day to go.
