engine is back in

I spent last weekend putting the engine back in the car with the tranny. It went well. I bolted up the headers but the mini starter was a bit too fat and would not allow the header to seat against the head. I went and bought an OEM style starter and the headers fits good now. Installed the rest of the exhaust and rear shocks. Cleaned up the gas tank and spray some clear, also cleaned up the straps and painted it black with zero rust. Now to wire every thing back in.

On the mini-starter, did you take the thing-a-ma-jig off the wiring connections? I've heard of that getting in the way of things.

Yes I did remove the thing-a-ma-jig . The headers was binding against the mini-starter motor body. The mini starter is shorter but fatter than the standard starter. And with the standard starter in it barely clears the motor starter body.
