Does anybody know...

Well, the only thing that comes to me is some sort of wiring malady. Since both low/unequal brake pressure between the front/rear circuits and setting the parking brake will both turn on the dashboard brake warning lamp, I'm thinking that's somehow crosswired with the brake lamp circuit. Mechanically, I just can't see it happening.

Of course, I'm talking about older cars. If we're dealing with newer stuff, I'd expect the BCM to be related to the problem.

It's the '69, it just started today, I know cause I opened the big door behind it to take it for a run and they wheren't there and I religiuosly set the parking brake. I get to the "watering hole" and turned round walking in to look at it, and they were on. The brake lights work normally, believe me I had somebody look. I don't see it mechanically either, did the brakes and a new master cylinder a couple months ago and everthing was fine then. Fuckin' weird!

....just went out and put the pb on and now it's not doing it, been home 2 hours. No dash light with the pb on either

I just bought $200 worth of suspension parts for it today, maybe that's it.

I took the car to get it's own parts and pissed it off. :bwuhaha:

rear brakes adjusted too loose? allows the pedal to drop a bit when the PB is activated.

maybe the brake light switch could use some adjustment, have someone follow you over a few bumps.

Nope, everythings tight there. THe car only gets out on weekends (when it's nice out) so the brake job was too recent for that and it didn't happen til today. Otherwise the brake lights worked nomal, pedal down, lights are on. Like I said, I got it home and a while later I set the brake and they didn't come on. The dash light doesn't come on now:hmmm: fukin electrical shit.

At first I thought hot weather as it was 88 here today but it's been out in above that and no problems.
