Situation
  • Chrysler Group and GM holding discussions about joint project
  • Project would provide Chrysler w/ version of Chevrolet Tahoe
  • No indication when talks might be concluded; under way for about 6 months
  • Any arrangement likely to require approval of 2 companies' boards
  • Talks began about same time GM discussing possible alliance w/ Renault/Nissan
  • Most likely situation: GM would produce big SUV for Chrysler to sell in US and other markets

2007 Chevy TahoeSignificant Points
  • DaimlerChrysler leaving its options open on Chrysler's future
  • Discussions between GM and Chrysler "ongoing and positive" but far from complete
  • Deal w/ GM similar to Chrysler's recent agreement to build minivans for VW
  • Chrysler lineup weighted heavily toward SUVs, pickups, minivans
  • Talked about building large SUV for more than 20 years
  • Not successful in finding way to justify expense of developing big SUV

Dodge Chall-aro here we come.
Or even a Chevy Corviper:D Wait the 2 already look alike as it is... :shifty:

just finish running MA over already with that damn benz...theres plenty of blood on the benz already

I'm putting my money on them naming it the Ramcharger. I can't wait for the Ramcharger Rumble Bee edition and the Ramcharger Daytona.

a large SUV is just a device to make the small and insignificant look just a little smaller and more insignificant when they stand next to it. This point was driven home at the local do it yourselfer megastore. wish I had a camera when "dude" hopped out of that big old Ford. I don't think his head reached up to the door handle.

disclaimer: I had a short GF once (in Kindergarten[smilie=i: )

At 6'3 and 205, I feel like a real man in my suv. :shifty:

*looks down at tiny weiner, sighs*

forgot what brand but the last public urinal was so freaking cool it was like a damn funhouse mirror. I finished up and hit the water fountain for 10 minutes.

I think this is a good idea. The combined thoughts of the 2 brands could build a better vehicle.
