The highlight of this year’s Woodward Cruise took place in Pontiac, Michigan, where the famed avenue was converted toa legal drag strip by Dodge on Friday night. Part of the second “Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge” event, it built on last year’s Pontiac Silverdome event. Woodward Avenue, or Highway 1, wasclosed to normal traffic for nine hours of drag racing, with atotal cash purse of $19,000. Over 30,000 people showed up, three times last year’s showing. […]
