Doc goes hunting...

...but forgot the camera this time.

Today's deals:
  • 1) 1985 Dodge Diplomat squad car, complete. 97K original miles. Running, driving car. Asking $500, made offer; waiting to hear back. Missing only the hubcaps, and the guy thought they might be in the trunk.

    2) 1937 Dodge pickup. Missing the bed and headlamps, but otherwise complete. Ran a couple years ago; owner thinks he might have the headlamps. Solid and restorable, but pretty dented up. $500.

    3) 1963 Plymouth Belvedere post coupe. 170 Slant Six, three-speed manual. Complete minus front turn-signal lenses. Rusty in weird places (one fender top?!) but seems like floors/frame are solid. $250.

    4) 1978 Plymouth Volare sedan, factory 360/auto car. Complete, a tad rusty, but runs. $200.

    5) 1979 Dodge Aspen waGoon. Super Six/auto, solid, complete. Ran until jumped time. $200.

    6) FOUR complete 400 big blocks. A '77, '75, and two '73s. $100 each; I can probably get all four for $300 total... with the transmissions.

    7) One flawless set of late B-body sport mirrors... I mean not one pit in the chrome. $40.

    8) Three 15x7 cop-car rims. $50 for all three (if I get that Dippy, I'll have two complete sets since that car has a cop-wheel spare).
Not a bad day scrounging, really. [smilie=e:

Oh, and moparguy... I may have found you a set of caliper adapters, but I didn't have a tape measure to check rotor size. [smilie=e:

Great finds! Now you need to broker the finds out and collect a good finders fee! :)

I don't know what I'll do...

I'm torn on the squad car, because it's valuable as a complete ride but I can make a heap on the parts (I made well over two grand profit on the last one).

I think the number was too high on the '37, but man, it's really cool... and the box isn't year-specific, so that's not a big deal.

The '63? Probably an instant flip, but whenever I get close to an early B like that, I get weird... 'specially one with clutch pedals. I start seeing altered wheelbases and Hilborn stacks, all rolling on Torq-Thrust Ds... and when you consider the convenience of the '73-up B-car front suspension (self-contained except the bolt-in rear torsion-bar mount), that altered wheelbase ain't nearly as tough to pull off. Using an F/M-car K-member would be even easier.

I have no idea what to do with a Volare sedan, but the fact that it's a 360 car is kind of cool. I've always wanted an Aspolare wagon, too, but my plate is already pretty full for a fella with no license.

A brother can never have "too many" big-blocks, license or not. :D

The sport mirrors and wheels are eBait, period. I need the money, and I don't like cop wheels anyhow... and I know of at least three more sets of sport mirrors. My last set of mirrors brought almost $190; my last full set of cop wheels almost double that. [smilie=e: :D

sounds like a good day in the woods !,that's normal rust for those '63 fenders,I have a heap of them like that, they also rot bad where the fender butt's up to the cowl,,bad water traps in that design,,but $250 is a steal,I've made a living off ebay with '63 Plymouth parts, you will do well partin' it out ! grab it!

Got a preference between pin- or slider-type brackets, Russ? I think there may be more than one pair oot there...

*Hooks trailer up to truck*

*waits for Jass to call S.H.A.T.*

"Hello, S.H.A.T.? Yes, this is F.A.R.T.E.D. ... that's right, Found Another Rolling Turd, Extremely Dirty. How's your schedule for the next two weeks?"

[smilie=eggface.gif] PLEEEEZE?

Thats a lot of ebay gold, good luck man, now a request from the Rusty one, you have had to run into a few cars with 8 3/4 rears, I would appreciate(& pay money too) for a GOOD set of rear shock mount plates, if you haven't wandered into my saga post lately theres a pic of the mess I got there, I'd rather pay you for your efforts than buy more useless scrap metal off ebay! shoot me a line if ya think you can locate em, thanks, Rich.
