I was checking out the new catalog and noticed that summit has their own brand disc brake conversion kit out now for b-e bodies. The manual brake kit comes with spindles and GM rotors/calipers for $450. I dont know the maker or quality but it is nice to see these kits coming down in price. I like the ssbc kit but for 700 dollars and you use your own drum brake spindles? no thanks :dgt:

I’ll keep that in mind if I ever want to shit can my mopar wheels for some Chevy ones. I always wanted to hall around two spare tires anyway.:D

Well, considering GM engineering versus Mopar engineering, I'll pay the extra money or do what I have to in order to keep Mopar-designed parts on my car. :D GM was never known for their stupendous brakes, though they certainly were able to standardize mediocrity across many car lines--ever seen the ridiculous number of applications a #52 brake pad fits? :D

rofl That's the main reason those guys with no talent or creativity LOVE GM products - one part fits all. :)

If they can monkeyfuck that to work on a Mopar why not produce the original design? If they are using GM parts to save money then $450 is too much. :D

What if i went into a part store... what could be found for the swap, what's discontinued or unavailable? I've read all this before but forgot.

Plus there's a guy on ebay sells the same set from 60 something up, don't us 71's have a wierd knuckle?
