spit out 25K for a crapped out charger or for 2.5 take a chance on a solid bodied dipster with cold air and pozzi

I paid $350 for my '81 LeBaron coupe in similar condition. Methinks the coupe is more desirable, though mine didn't have air or a Chevy axle in it.

He's asking $4500. He's as out of his gourd as DW's buddy, if not moreso. At least the Charger has a possibility of resale-price increase in the next few years.

There's a 1970 Chevelle wagon in approximately the same condition for sale a few miles from here... asking price is $1350, with no bites in over a month. Realistically, what's got more value? The wagon craze is dead, except for those hardcore types. I'd love an M-car wagon with a 4-speed, but I'm not paying that kind of coin.

I didn't say I don't like them, I said the craze is over. One of my friends recently sold a near-perfect-condition 1968 Fury III wagon, no rust ever (GA car), with a rebuilt 440 and 727, 3.55 Sure Grip, and ice-cold air out in CO. He got $3200 for it on eBay.

I don't think the initial craze is over. With the economy the way it is, anything auto or hobby related is in a slump.
You're actually at an advantage right now, you don't feel the full impact of the fuel prices.

Every time I want a ride home, I have to pay someone a minimum of $50 to take me... even Mom. That's usually $150-$200/month. I have to pay cab fare for anything other than minor trips to the corner grocery store, and cab fare's gone up, too. Believe me, I'm feeling the impact.

I just don't see the excitement over wagons that I did a few years back.

Hey I'm crazy about my wagon....:giggedy:

But that does seem a tad bit on the high side...

Jass....get a pedal bike...don't cost nothing but some food to power those legs of yours....:shifty:....I have since the gas prices have got so high, I use mine whenever I can around town.
