The paint fumes have cleared so I'm
We just finished painting the New Porker for DCF. Watch for his avatar pic to change again. :)

XL's F100 next week.:giggedy:

This one so far... more to come, and there'll be lots when I bring it home. :)

That's one of those colors that looks really nice when it's taken care of but horrible if it's not. Wax on wax off.

That reminds me a lot of my old roommate's C-barge, which was the same hue from the factory and one of my all-time favorite Cs. '71 Monaco coupe, factory 383HP/727/3.55SG, buckets, console, and 15" wheels with dog dishes. It was sort of a giant Super Bee.

I like the color a lot. The big bombers don't really lend themselves well to wild shades.

In the sunlight that colour sparkles. It seems a little more brown than what was on there - it had been repainted at some point and had a tinge of red in it.
That fricking' car is huge! I was standing in the parking lot of the business next door before I was able to get the whole car in the pic.[smilie=2:

Surprisingly enough, (we put a very dark red ground coat on first) we used a tick under two litres of base. I thought for sure the colour would be kinda transparent.
Some water sanding & polishing, some reassembling and lots of cleaning, and it will find it's way back to St. Catherines.:giggedy: It's only been two years.:(

That's a lotta car to wet sand and polish [smilie=2: The hood and trunk alone must be a acre...
I remember cleaning up a 67 Monaco hood  did it all by hand... Don't envy you at all...even doing the first swipe with a DA :p

painted with the markers in place?!?!?

looks good......for a 4dr
Yes indeed. No rust or peeling paint around them, so no reason to take them off. That's why they invented masking tape. :)

Just a simple body and paint (well, not so simple), not a restoration, so what needed to come off, came off. What didn't need to come off, didn't.
The body side mouldings were kind of tricky to get over the clips, so we painted where they would go, and put them on.
