anyone played with useing LED replacemnts for ANY of the bulbs in our old mopars?..ive been toying with the idea since our bulbs dont put off much light even if you make the guts of the dash as reflective as posible.....besides they put off ALOT more light and use less power

was realy considering useing some UV bulbs as it would realy make the needles and the markings stand out ALOT better..but im still thinking too :P

LED's don't like fluctuating voltage. Probably not the best in an old Mopar but maybe I'm the only one with dashlights that dim and brighten.

hmmmm see thats not something i thought about but with a diod/resistor? inline on them would it realy be all that bad?...i mean you have to diod/resistor them to make em work on 12v anyway....tho i supose if i get em cheep enuf ie 100of them for 10$ or less includeing the shipping then i can be a test bed for it lol

best way would to use a power regulator that will lock the output voltage to the desired voltage for the leds. trick is to make it with a decent output capacitor to prevent any varing voltage- it can be done!!!! just that there will be no dimmer for it!
