if you have ANY ideas of a dash design you think is cool ..or something you would love to build...even if its scribled on a napkin...im hunting for design ideas for the lloyd....theres only 2 SET IN STONE ideas 1 is EVERYTHING will be digital 2 NO after market guage pods..as i hate that nascar dash look

the "factory" look on the lloyd is a NO GO since it had 1 guage 5 knobs and nothing else..the dash is to be scratch built houseing a minimum of
oil presure
water temp
speedo
tach
boost/vac guage
chargeing
gas
i dont do idiot lights...extras may include some turbo/FI...

as for the digital guts themselves..there not confined to a setup and will be seperated/modified to fit any shape or form...i simply need good looking ideas...no idea will be turned away as theres always 1 thing you want off any given dash

I would throw a blank plate into your opening and get some LED inserts for it and call it good to go. We converted my dads K-whopper back in 79 with components purchased in portland but Ill be damnmed if I can remember the name of the outfit. It was in SE on 122nd or sumthin. Back then it was 3 or 4 hunnerd with the harness.:hmmm:

Hmmm, You plan on keeping that bus steering wheel? Or is that a normal wheel made to look that big because of the small dash?

It would help to know to get an idea of what you would have to look through to see the dash.

:bwuhaha: I think that wheel is actually pretty small compared to what we're used to seeing, but in that environment it appears huge..

the wheel is smaller than the average mopar wheel(your forgetting that the car is super tiny i think the windshiled is only 12 inches or so tall)..and for the dash...i will make it look however it needs since its only 2 inches deep and 6 inches tall...its virtualy useless...consider the width and shape at the glass line to be the only things that remain...everything else on it will be fabricated from stratch....i just have NO ideas of what a finished product on it should look like

I like the dash pod shape in the chopped and channeled D100 youve been working on. If you had a spare dash for one of those you could graft one into the Lloyd dash. On my W200 I lust cut out a flat piecce of 1/8" aluminum and put a full set of Autometers in it. You could do the same with digitals if you wanted and make tha layout however you liked to fit the placement of the steering wheel and pash pod for the best visibility.

thats an intresting idea of a guage houseing..asumeing i could find another "delux" version...but that setup lacks space for tach and boost still something to ponder with

There was plenty of room on the one I did on my PW. I had a speedo and tach in the middle and two more guages on either side. There would have been room for more if I had wanted to add them by moving the side guages either up or down.

come on guys i get ideas from 3 of ya......put down the porn and make the gears turn for a lil while
